Metal bellows seals for circulating boiler equipment
Challenge: The customer used a single-layer metal bellows seal, made of conventional silicon carbide and SS316 metal bellows. At a pressure of 18BAR, the metal bellows broke and one side of the bellows leaked. Customer's working conditions: circulating boiler water, operating conditions: 249.18℃, sealing chamber pressure 4.3MPA, pump inlet pressure 3.8MPA.
Solution: According to the working conditions provided by the customer, we think that the customer's single-layer metal bellows seal is not suitable for this working condition.
1. Because the customer's pump is a single-stage pump, the pressure is 4.3MPA, and the high temperature is 250 ℃, the single-layer metal bellows is not applicable (generally single-layer metal bellows are suitable for pressures less than 2MPa). In the case of high pressure of 4.3MPa, it needs to be changed to a double-layer metal bellows.
2. The original material is not suitable for the working conditions, and the material of the metal part and the metal bellows is changed.
Result: Since the delivery in May 2023, the customer feedback is good.
Improvement of multi-spring mechanical seals and packing
Challenge: A long-term customer previously used a multi-spring mechanical seal, which contained particles in the medium and had a short service life; in addition, the packing leaked a lot. The customer asked us to recommend a more suitable sealing solution
Solution: According to the customer's needs, during the use of the multi-spring seal, the small spring is easily stuck by particles, affecting the operation and shortening the service life. The wave spring solves this problem well.
In addition, due to the large leakage of the packing, the wear on the pump shaft is large, and the application is limited, we selected a widely used mechanical seal for the customer to try according to the customer's pump chamber size, medium, temperature, and operating speed.
Result: The customer tested our mechanical seal and found that it was in good condition, significantly extended the service life, and improved the leakage. This customer has been cooperating with us until now. From then on, we firmly decided to pursue R&D, focus on customer needs and attach importance to quality.
Develop special graphite for air compressor
Challenge: A domestic customer, the medium of the air compressor is Freon with strong penetration. Previously, metal graphite, carbide, silicon carbide and other materials were used, but the service life was only 5 days, it leaked a lot, and the cost was high.
Solution and Results: According to the customer's situation, we recommend the use of a special graphite, which is directly developed and tested. After many tests, the customer has used it well and the service life exceeds 30 days.
