1-Identify the type
2-Determine the shaft size
3-Estimate the operating length,maximum outer diameter of the rotary part, etc
4-Determine the stationary:
Determine the type of stationary (cup mount, O-ring groove, block, etc.)
Measure inner diameter, outer diameter, thickness and rubber size,etc
5-Determine the materials of construction of the seal:
Type of metal spring and component parts
Rotary face and stationary material
Type of rubber elastomer and cup/O-ring
